Dignitas go straight through in Copenhagen

Dignitas fe and CLG Red to Copenhagen Games female tournament quarterfinals

The two North American sides are also set to meet in the next round...

In the Copenhagen Games 2018 Female tournament, CLG Red and Dignitas were both back in action, looking to begin a strong playoffs run. CLG Red started their day from Group 7.

CLG Red secured qualification to the playoffs in a 2-1 victory over TyLoo fe, with the Chinese side giving the Americans a run for their money in the second map. From there they faced the recently rebranded LGB fe side, taking only two maps to secure a slot in the quarterfinals.

A fairly close 16-12 game on Cache started the match-up off, before an extremely dominant CT-side on Train all-but guaranteed them the win at 14-1. A pistol round and a small recovery afterwards teased some hope for the Scandinavian side before Diane "di" Tran's side secured their final two rounds for a 16-5 win.

The second half all belonged to Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie's team, securing the win with seven straight rounds, at 16-6. Train was next, and it was more of that dominant display from the first map, with a 10-5 half turned into a 16-7 win.
