atLaNtis returns to CS:GO in an official capacity for the first time since coaching LiViD
Fabien "atLaNtis" Deguiraud has announced that he will be joining the ranks of CLG Red as an analyst. The roster has been without tactical staff since the departure of their previous coach, Stephan "vEz" Vezina, at the end of May.
atLaNtis was most recently active as a coach for LiViD and Grizzlys in 2019 and enjoyed his own time in the spotlight as a player in Counter Strike 1.6 and CS:GO, representing both against All authority and LDLC, two of France's most storied organizations, in both titles.
Earlier this summer CLG Red enjoyed substantial success at DreamHack Showdown Summer, winning the event with a 2-1 grand final victory over Dignitas fe. It was the perfect start in Juliana "Juli" Tosic's first official outing with the team, but as of late they've hit a bit of a rough patch and have started 0-3 in ESEA Advanced Season 35.
The addition of atLaNtis is a good first step in righting the ship and preparing for future events with the return to LANs hopefully drawing nearer and nearer. When contacted by Dust2.us, Emma "Emy" Choe noted that the team was previously close to signing a new coach during the past few months, but that talks with the candidate eventually fell through.
Dust2.us also reached out to Diane "di^" Tran and she affirmed the team's excitement to have atLaNtis on board to contribute to the team's efforts:
"[We're] just super excited to have someone to help since we’ve been coachless the past few months and stoked to have him on board!"
CLG Red are now:
- Diane "di^" Tran
- Jennifer "refinnej" Le
- Emma "Emy" Choe
- Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie
- Juliana "Juli" Tosic
- Fabien "atLaNtis" Deguiraud (Analyst)
CLG Red will square off against former ESEA MDL Season 34 side Infinity this coming Tuesday evening at 9PM EDT.
