tacitus joins FURIA as assistant coach

tacitus will join his countrymen after leaving Triumph back in April.

FURIA have announced the addition of former Triumph coach Marcos "tacitus" Castilho as their assistant coach. As a result of this move, tacitus reunites with Paytyn "Junior" Johnson from Triumph, and joins his first Brazilian team since playing for Dai Dai for around two weeks in 2017.

During his time with Triumph tacitus guided the team through numerous MDL/Premier seasons and a season of ESL Pro League, with the team peaking at 26th in the world in late November 2020 on  HLTV's world ranking.

Importantly for tacitus, should FURIA manage to stay within the top five of North America's RMR, he would likely be set to coach FURIA at PGL Stockholm as Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira remains banned from Valve events due to his 2020 coach bug ban.

FURIA are now:

  • Brazil Yuri "yuurih" Gomes
  • Brazil Andrei "arT" Piovezan
  • Brazil Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
  • Brazil Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
  • United States Paytyn "Junior" Johnson
  • Brazil Lucas "honda" Honda Cano
  • Brazil Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (Coach)
  • Brazil Marcos "tacitus" Castilho (Assistant Coach)

tacitus' first event with FURIA will be IEM Cologne on July 6th.
