cynic tragically passed away at age 23 after a long battle with mental health.

Nouns have announced plans to host "David's Cup" — a charity tournament created to honor the legacy of David "cynic" Polster, a former Nouns player who tragically passed away at the age of 23 on January 25th, 2024. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting the work of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, a charity dedicated to "provid[ing] advocacy, education, support and public awareness" for those affected by mental illness.

Nouns' charity tournament is set to run from May 11th-12th and is set to feature a number of prominent NA teams. Nouns are currently looking for teams, casters, and personalities that are willing to volunteer their time to help make the charity event as successful as possible.

Interested parties looking to support the event can reach out to Nouns by joining their Discord.

Additionally, donations to NAMI can be made directly Here.

I love this. Mental health is a very important issue to me as someone with plenty of experience dealing with the issues it can bring when neglected. I haven’t watched pro cs in a long time other than the odd BOSS match here and there but I’ll be sure to watch this one.
