PGL announce date for Copenhagen Major Closed Qualifier invites
PGL have announced that the invites for the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major RMR Closed Qualifiers will be sent out on December 18th, in accordance with Valve's most updated ranking.
The Valve ranking was first introduced last December and was met with some skepticism over the formula. However, the developer has continued to receive community feedback and has tinkered with the ranking to ensure that the best teams are appropriately seeded when it is used for important events - like the qualifiers for the upcoming Major.
The Americas ranking has not been updated since November 3rd, which leaves a long gap and some unpredictability of where teams will be as they head into the new year. NRG has recently entered into the scene, but is unlikely to be ranked highly enough to earn a spot into the Closed Qualifier. As for Liqiud, they have a completely new core and are also unlikely to be ranked.
