Please Send Bocks secure victory in ESL Impact Autumn Cash Cup 6

The squad have claimed their third Cash Cup victory in the Autumn circuit.

The sixth ESL Impact Autumn Cash Cup has drawn to a close, with Please Send Bocks besting seasonal affective disorder 2-1 to claim the $750 grand prize.

After coming out on top in a hotly contested BO3 semifinal versus Fulcrum, which saw all three maps go at least 27 rounds, Please Send Bocks squared off against seasonal affective disorder for their shot at the grand prize. This series kicked off on Vertigo, where PSB got off to a flying start, putting up an impenetrable defense to take a 14-1 lead at the half. With their opponents having such a dominant lead, there was little seasonal affective disorder could do as PSB quickly mopped up the map 16-2.

The second map, Ancient, would prove to be a far closer affair than Vertigo. This time seasonal affective disorder were the ones who managed to start themselves off on the right foot, as the squad fought to secure a comfortable 10-5 lead at halftime. Although they had five rounds to spare, the game was far from over as the two squads fought bitterly over the second map. In the end, seasonal affective disorder did not allow their lead to fall apart as they locked down the map 16-14, taking the series to Overpass.

Unfortunately for seasonal affective disorder, despite all the effort they put into taking the series into a third map, Overpass ended up being nearly as one-sided an affair as Vertigo. Here, PSB posted another astounding defense, allowing the squad to take a 12-3 lead at the half. Once again faced with a towering lead, seasonal affective disorder rolled over in the second half, allowing PSB to take the map 16-5, securing them victory in the Cash Cup.

The final standings of the ESL Impact Autumn Cash Cup 6 are:

1. United States Please Send Bocks - $750
2. United States seasonal affective disorder - $250
3-4. United States Fulcrum
3-4. United States For Funsies

Although the next ESL Impact Cash Cup is not slated for next year, the ESL Impact circuit will have two open qualifiers for ESL Impact Katowice later this week, scheduled for Wednesday the 14th and Friday the 16th.
