floppy and co. are still well in the picture for playoffs

Heroic end Complexity's unbeaten start

Complexity failed to keep their momentum against their second set of Danish opponents in Group C, Heroic.

Map one kicked off in a back-and-forth fashion, with Complexity on the T-side of Inferno winning the pistol round before dropping the follow-up to Heroic's risky force buy where they rushed down mid. Complexity did not appear shaken by this early setback, putting together a tidy string of four rounds, as Ricky "floppy" Kemery would close out a 1v2 to put the North Americans up 5-3. Despite some strong defenses, the theme of Heroic's CT-side would be mistimed aggression and re-aggression. Complexity took round 14 on a low buy after trading Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard's wild push down banana and holding for Casper "cadiaN" Møller's questionable push back into the pistols, before going on to secure an 8-7 lead going into halftime.

Heroic opened the second half by retaking the lead, winning the pistol and force buy. Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and co. couldn't produce an answer on their defensive side, with Heroic continuing to roll and storming out to a 13-8 lead before Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli closed out an eco win with a cheeky tea bag. However, this victory would be short-lived, as Heroic planted their foot firmly back on the neck of Complexity, closing out map one 16-9.

Complexity experienced Deja Vu in map two of Ancient, winning the pistol before losing the follow-up rounds. hallzerk stopped the attacking forces dead in their tracks in round 5, racking up a 4k on the AWP. The half would continue in tight fashion, with both teams trading strings of rounds. Heroic would go into their CT-side with the slight advantage, leading 8-7 after getting the job done against a mixed buy in the final round of the half.

The pistol round in the second half looked to be going the way of Heroic with three unanswered kills, before Michael "Grim" Wince and floppy combined in a flurry of frags to definitively decimate the Danish defense. In a similar way to Inferno, the North Americans could not find an answer in the second half, consistently losing out on the opening picks and failing to find gaps in Heroic's defense. Complexity would find an answer in after Heroic reached 14, but it would only be a flash in the pan as cadiaN caught Grim with his back turned to reach match point. JT couldn't pull off the 1v2 in the final round, with Heroic claiming a 16-10 win and securing a 2-0 for the series.
