Detonate add arcade; move Wilky to substitute

After a modest start to ESEA Advanced, Detonate have decided to make a change.

Detonate have removed Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson from their starting lineup, instead opting to bring on John "arcade" Rogel. This sees the 21-year-old be moved to a substitute position within the organization after less than a month with the squad.

During his brief one-month stint with Detonate, Wilky helped the squad to a rather uninspiring 2-2 start to ESEA Advanced Season 41 with losses to both Davenport University and Walkie Talkies. This meager start persisted outside of league play too, with the team bowing out in the first and second rounds of the ESEA Advanced Cup and the fourth ESEA Spring Cash Cup, respectively.

Meanwhile, arcade links up with Detonate after departing InControl at the end of ESEA Advanced Season 40, citing Andrew "Andrew" Burrell's attitude as the primary reason for his exit in spite of the team's solid 7th-8th place finish in the division. Elsewhere during his time with InControl, arcade managed to average a 1.07 rating over 24 maps whilst also helping the side secure gold at Fragadelphia 16: Chicago.

Detonate founder, Levoski Brown, told Dust2.us:

The team was unfortunately not seeing the desired results following our first four matches of the Advanced season and saw a decline in morale and dedication from Wilky's in and out of match habits. Wilky will be allowed to pursue other opportunities while in a substitute position for our roster as we do not want to prevent him from shining in a different team environment and Detonate will assist in this pursuit.

Along with adding arcade, Detonate have also brought on a new coach, Luke "Viathan" Carstens.

As such, Detonate are now:

  • Johnny "JDubs" Wu

  • Devin "Xzen" Barber

  • Landon "landmaz" Lawrence

  • Sam "Noxio" Goodwin

  • John "arcade" Rogel

  • Luke "Viathan" Carstens (Coach)

  • Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson (Substitute)

arcade has already made his debut in his new home where the side bested Vireo.pro 16-5 lon Mirage to go 3-2 in the season. Detonate's next game sees the squad take on Vicious Midgets on May 23rd at 09:00PM.

I heard there was legendary coach move in NA CS recently, I heard that the one they call viathan is next for the likes of EG or even Liquid. Hope to see something soon.
