Imperial start bootcamp in Poland ahead of PGL Antwerp Major

Imperial will be looking to impress in Antwerp following their bootcamp in Warsaw.

Imperial have began a bootcamp at Kinguin's facilities in Warsaw, Poland, ahead of the upcoming PGL Major in Antwerp. The team will be looking to sort out any last wrinkles alongside boosting their level of practice in the run-up to the prestigious event.

The Brazilian squad will be staying at the Kinguin Esports Performance Center in the Polish capital. This is the same location that, according to Noah Smith of the Washington Post, gave refuge to Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and 20 others at the outbreak of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February.

Imperial travel across the Atlantic after previously making it through the IEM Dallas South American closed qualifier, edging out MIBR in the grand final to take home the sole spot up for grabs at the $250,000 event.

The side will be staying in Warsaw in hopes of elevating their game before heading to Antwerp where they will be duking it out with the world's best for the coveted Major trophy alongside the hefty $500,000 first-place prize.

Imperial recently secured a spot in the Challengers Stage of the Major after placing third in the Americas RMR with a 3-1 record, beating Case, Sao Caetano, and Party Astronauts. Their one loss came after a reverse sweep at the hands of their fellow countrymen, MIBR.

Imperial's Major campaign will get underway on May 9th when the Challengers Stage of the event begins with their opening matchup set to be against Spirit.
