ex-Chaos, Extra Salt, ex-Recon 5 added to ESEA Premier; Triumph set to claim spot
ESEA have added ex-Chaos, Extra Salt, and ex-Recon 5 to the ESEA Premier Season 36 team list. The initial duo join as a result of their participation in ESL Pro League Season 12, while ex-Recon 5 have been brought in as a replacement for the disbanded Kinship lineup.
Additionally, Dust2.us knows from sources close to the team that Triumph have been granted a spot in the division, but at the time of publication are yet to be added on ESEA's website.
This list of teams in the division is subject to change however, as Dust2.us knows that Triumph's participation is currently in question. As Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman would be the only remaining player on the team from ESL Pro League Season 12 if Triumph's reported new roster comes to fruition, it would cause a conflict with ESEA's rule that a team must use 2/5 of their lineup from the previous season. However, sources within ESEA seemed inconsistent on their ruling on the matter when contacted by Dust2.us, despite a source within Triumph informing Dust2.us that ESEA will allow them to compete regardless of their new roster.
Additionally, Dust2.us knows that ex-Chaos are still weighing their participation and do not currently have a complete roster, although they have recently added Peter "ptr" Gurney. If he were to join ex-Chaos, it would be ptr's first team since Bad News Bears disbanded in May.
ex-Recon 5 also do not currently have a complete lineup, with Jet "jet-" Gao being the only member of the lineup still on the team from ESEA MDL Season 35. If they failed to form a roster, Rise would likely be the next in line to claim a spot as they finished in the same place in Relegation as ex-Recon 5, with ex-Recon 5 garnering the original invite due to having a higher seed.
