Legacy fall to GamerLegion; one series away from being eliminated
After starting the Major with a huge upset win against FURIA, Legacy couldn't replicate that same result against Cloud9 despite having had a 10-4 lead on Overpass, which turned into a 13-10 loss. Today, they faced GamerLegion in the 1-1 bracket for a shot at going up to the 2-1 bracket.
The BO1 started off with Vertigo with the Brazilian squad taking the first two rounds on the T-side, but that was followed by five straight round wins for the European team. Legacy would win just one more during that half as GamerLegion would lead 9-3 before switching sides.
Going into the CT-side, Legacy would win the pistol round once again but would fumble the next one, which sent them to the economic shadow realm. With the financial advantage, GL found itself at the match point. It didn't take long for GamerLegion to close the map, as they took down Legacy 13-4 in the very next round.
With this loss, Legacy are down in the 1-2 bracket, and will have to win two BO3 series if they are to advance to the Elimination Stage.
