kaboose signs for RONIN

The Selfless alum has finally found a new home with the samurai of RONIN.

On his Twitter earlier today, Jake "kaboose" McDonald announced that he had signed with American organization RONIN. This comes as no surprise since he has been playing for them since the second ECS Season 4 Development League qualifier, as well as in the league itself upon helping them qualify.

McDonald initially came into the public conscience through the North American FACEIT Pro League (FPL), along with former teammate Mitch "mitch" Semago. From there he was recruited to Selfless as a backup, but soon found his way into the main roster. He would remain with the organization until its shuttering, with the pair of LAN showings coming in the WESG Americas Regional, and the WESG Global Finals, where the team lost to the Turkish Space Soldiers. Since the conclusion of ESL Pro League Season 5, he has most consistently played with Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien's subtLe, as well as won Fragadelphia 11 with ownage.

As for RONIN, the addition of kaboose completes their quintet after Chad "oderus" Miller was given his marching orders following ESEA Season 25. They currently are 0-2 in ECS Development League, with Best of 2's remaining.

RONIN now have the following roster:

  • Canada emode
  • Canada Dallas
  • United States mAKKA
  • REOVA
  • United States kaboose
