StarLadder Major Berlin New Legends stage first round matchups revealed
StarLadder have revealed the matchups for the first round of the New Legends stage of the Berlin Major following the advancements of Vitality, AVANGAR, and DreamEaters.
The first round of the top sixteen stage of the Major features a number of notable matchups, including a grudge match between Finn "karrigan" Anderson's mousesports and his former teammates on FaZe. Notably, Astralis were awarded the top seed heading into the tournament, leading to Liquid being paired up against CR4ZY. NiP and MIBR, two rosters that enter the Major with stand-ins in tow, have also been pitted against one another, with Maikil "Golden" Selim looking to make an impression after a period of inactivity following his benching on Cloud9.
NRG will face off against the Australians from Renegades in their opening round, with both teams looking to prove that they can advance to the top eight stage. A battle between two of the world's best AWPers is also set to play out as Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev will go head-to-head with Kenny "kennyS" Schrub, while French phenom Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's Vitality will look to improve upon their results from the New Challengers stage in their opening round against North.
