nahtE was a consistent force for UFC

Unemployed for Christmas beat Splyce in CyberPowerPC semifinal

The organization-less team took down DAVEY's men on two maps, both of which were overtime.

Splyce kicked off their semi-final at the CyberPowerPC Extreme Gaming Series Winter Invitational with a pistol round win and a triple by David "DAVEY" Stafford. Even though Unemployed for Christmas and Zack "XotiC" Elshani killed all the Splyce members in round two, they couldn't get the defuse. DAVEY continued to get multi-kill rounds and Splyce picked up four total before Ethan "nahtE" Arnold and UFC answered back.

UFC could only secure two rounds before Splyce figured out the defense, and Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen powered his squad to six rounds. Kenneth "koosta" Suen pulled off a big AWP retake in round nine, but Daniel "roca" Gustaferri shut down UFC with two big entries. Splyce kept up the pressure, got up to 11 rounds with Taylor "Drone" Johnson chiming in near the end.

The final round went to UFC however, as Stephen "reltuC" Cutler closed out the half with a 1v2 for a 4-11 scoreline.

Splyce took the second pistol round as well with a triple by SEMPHIS. UFC also won the second, much like the previous half, but finally picked up more rounds. nahtE along with Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki led their team to ten rounds in the comeback attempt.

Unemployed for Christmas compeleted the comeback and, with ryx at the helm, they secured overtime.

The ex-CLG side then went on to close out the first half of OT 3-0 to make the score 18-15: match point.

Splyce kept themselves in the game in the second OT half, and SEMPHIS got a huge triple kill in round 35. In the end, ryx overpowered the Splyce side and UFC took the first map 19-17.

The pistol round of Inferno was very back and forth, with Splyce eventually taking it off the back of a quadruple kill by SEMPHIS. Drone and roca both got consecutive quadruple kills to propel Splyce to comfortable lead on the CT side. ryx helped to bring it back to 4-5, but roca and DAVEY kept Splyce in the lead with many impact frags, ending the half 9-6.

The first few rounds of the second half were very close, with Splyce coming out on top. XotiC and UFC began to put together a defense after round 19, pulling the scoreline back to 12-11 quickly. Splyce kept the comeback at bay with Drone picking up some critical kills, but reltuC kept the momentum in the favor of UFC.

It seemed thoughthat overtime was destined, as Splyce won the last round and secured 15-15.

The first half of overtime was unlike the overtime from Cache in that Splyce won two of the rounds with UFC picking up the last one for a 17-16 score.

The second overtime saw Unemployed for Christmas take the lead and take match point with some important frags by koosta. UFC then closed out the map 19-17 and won the series 2-0.
