NRG fire manager after alleged sexual assault comes to light

Maxwell Bateman, former NRG manager, has been terminated after being accused of sexual assault.

Former CS:GO manager for NRG Maxwell "Hotaruz" Bateman has been accused of sexual assault by Twitch streamer Dezaray "Krystlin" Luna and has been immediately removed from the organization, CEO of NRG Andy Miller announced on Twitter.

Luna, in a post on Twitlonger, claimed that after consuming a drink made by Bateman she had begun to feel sick. She says that after coughing up saliva and blood, she decided to lay down on Bateman's bed where he was playing video games. From there, Luna alleges that Bateman sexually assaulted her.

Luna then released text messages between herself and Bateman which show Bateman applogizing for his actions and that he "would never want to lose [their] friendship."

Bateman, who had recently tweeted about moving the CS:GO team, also posted a Tweet yesterday saying that he will release a statement today.

I mean if shes lying, it can just show that women can ruin mens' lives by an allegation that isnt even true.

honestly for the sake of the situation i hope she is telling the truth.

And if she's not, it just shows how much a man can ruin his own life by sexually harassing someone.

Dang I don't think I've seen anything like this in ESports yet, quite an interesting case.

Glad that NRG has that policy as well, very important to be prepared for incidents like these.
