FACEIT Major Qualifier Details released

The road to London is released, with details on all the qualifying stages.

FACEIT have announced the details for the qualifiers to the upcoming London Major, with some fairly sizeable differences in each part.

Up here in North America, there will be four open qualifiers with the first starting on June 2nd. Each open qualifier will see two teams secure a spot in the closed qualifier, where they'll meet eight invited teams. From there, the top six teams in the closed qualifier will advance to the Americas Minor.

For South America, there will be two open qualifiers, from which the winner of each will make their way straight to the Americas Minor.

Each open qualifier will be in a best-of-one single elimination format, with a maximum of 1,024 teams competing. The closed qualifier in North America will see 16 teams battle it out in a best-of-three Swiss tournament. The closed qualifier will take place over June 22nd-24th, as can be seen on the Dust2.us Calendar alongside many other events.

Further details about the Major itself are yet to be released, but any announcemements will be found on their dedicated Major website. Tickets for the event have been released on sale.

The full list of open qualifiers can be found on the respective FACEIT page, however a list of Americas-relevant ones are below:
