EPICENTER announces Closed Qualifier
After holding two open qualifiers in three regions, EPICENTER has finally announced the groups for the closed qualifiers which will take place between September 12 - October 3rd. EPICENTER will include the primary regions: CIS, Europe, and North America.
Each closed qualifier will consist of two groups running in a GSL-style format, meaning the top two teams from each group with battle it out in a double-elimination playoff bracket. Much to everyones liking, all matches will be BO3 format. When the playoff bracket concludes only the last team remaining from each qualifier will move on to the Wildcard qualifier a few days prior to the tournament start. When joined by a Chinese team, the four teams will play for two slots in the main event.
