trk's departure to MIBR is especially untimely for oNe due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic

malbsMd joins oNe as stand-in

The Guatemalan player will be playing with oNe until a Brazilian player is able to join them in North America.

With Alencar "trk" Rossato being acquired by MIBR yesterday, oNe are set to use Guatemalan player Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa as a stand-in for the time being until they are able to acquire and import a player from Brazil.

malbsMd was last seen playing with Colombian team Infinity, leaving the team after nearly a year and ultimately being replaced by Peruvian player Joel "tor1towOw" Rios.

Pedro "Maluk3" Campos gave Dust2.us some insight in choosing malbsMd as a stand-in and how they plan to bridge the language gap:

In fact, we don't have many options right now that are in the United States and can play for us, and we knew malbsMd from duels against his former team Infinity where he excelled. The idea came up and he accepted it, he is only standing-in until we can bring a player from Brazil but due to the current situation with COVID-19 this makes negotiations even more difficult.

Regarding the language, at first we are speaking Portuguese, he understands a little and we understand him a little, as they are similar languages, but it is far from ideal, sometimes we are speaking "Portuñol" and English.

As such, for the time being oNe are now:

  • Brazil Pedro "Maluk3" Campos
  • Brazil Bruno "b4rt1n" Câmara
  • Brazil Matheus "prt" Scuvero
  • Brazil Matheus "pesadelo" Panisset
  • Guatemala Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa (Stand-in)
  • Brazil Olavo "chucky" Napoleão (Coach)

malbsMd made his debut with oNe last night against Recon 5 in WINNERS League Season 4 Invite, falling to them 16-8 although malbsMd managed to post a 1.13 rating during the match.
