Official: M80 announce slaxz-

M80 have officially announced the arrival of German AWPer Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich to replace the outgoing American AWPer Adam "WolfY" Andersson. The replacement comes off the tail end of the squad's European bootcamp where had a mixed-bag in their first European tour.

Notably, the team picked up wins against Nexus and Anonymo in the CCT East Europe Series #3, but failed to make any headway in the Thunderpick World Championship 2023. WolfY had struggled at that level of competition, leaving Europe with a 0.94 rating over 16 maps, prompting this change.

The 24-year-old slaxz- comes into the team having spent just under a year with ALTERNATE aTTaX where has slowly proved himself to be a capable AWPer within the European circuit. With stints on Berzerk and Sprout, the AWPer was a reliable turret as he helped Sprout reach 19th in the world before being replaced by Adrian "XELLOW" Guță.

The addition of slaxz- with not impact M80's ability to participate in the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major Americas Open Qualifiers as the squad still contains a majority of players from the region. Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa hails from Guatemala while Michael "Swisher" Schmid and Ethan "reck" Serrano hail from the United States.
