What maps will look like in Counter-Strike 2

Valve has released the renders of new maps in the upcoming game.

Counter-Strike 2 is incorporating Source2, which also means that it will improve the visual affects in a number of maps. We can take a look at what the updated maps thanks to them releasing some snippets.

Dust2

For the keen eyed, you can also tell that there is an added lightpost in the top left of the image that is not normally there in the version of CS:GO!

Oh boy, double doors. Who knows what way they will look now.

Not too much difference compared to Dust2 of CS:GO, but looks like the shadows might be a bit bigger.

Dust2 is getting a massive facelift as the bright skies and bright colors, but also improved shadows.

Nuke

Nuke, like Dust2 before it, doesn't look that different, except for the fact that it has a massive change in the lighting which makes the map look visually easier to look at. The two reactors in the middle do not have as sharp a contrast while the red color pops a bit more.

Just look at all of that green!

B site is clearly labeled, but nobody will want to play this position anyways.

This will be a beautiful position to save from.

Overpass

Overpass, looks... wow! This image of A Long is just completely different from what it looked like before. You can see how much darker it is on the left, but the walls, the road, and the lightposts as well as the trees look like someone spent some public funds money to improving the park.

Connector doesn't seem to have too much of a difference, again, except the lighting which makes it easier to see enemies down the hallway.

From here we can tell that the wall on A Long is different, along with a bigger lamp post. The APC is different and it seems that some things have been moved around. We can also tell that outside of bathrooms has more color to it as well.

Bathrooms are also much brighter and they're finally cleaned!

Ancient

While we haven't been able to get a fully clear image of Ancient, we were able to get a sneak peek at it. This also shows the HUD, which get a good look at! In this map, again you can just see how much lighter the entire map looks, which allows for players to get a better view of potential enemies.
