FURIA head home to handle visas

The major semifinalists need to get everything in order to attend the Americas RMR.

The Brazilians are going back to their home country to take care of the bureaucratic process of getting their visas ready for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR, which will be happening in Monterrey, Mexico, from April 5th to April 9th.

According to Andrei "arT" Piovezan, and as reported by Dust2 Brasil, some FURIA members took advantage of the ESL Pro League schedule and left Malta until the 13th of March, one week before the playoffs start.

During a livestream, the Brazilian IGL told his viewers that only he and Rafael "saffee" Costa stayed in Europe during the break between the end of their group stage and the start of playoffs, while the rest of the team went back to Brazil to handle their visa renewals in order to be able to enter Mexico for the Americas RMR.

"The guys went back to renew their visas. I didn't need to because I have my old passport. I am staying here in Serbia, I think only saffee also stayed in Europe."

When asked by a viewer what the team would be doing until the playoffs for EPL S17 start, arT replied that "the team is going to renew the visas to be able to enter Mexico, because it is now needed, as previously it wasn't needed. They are staying in Brazil the next few days, until the 13th, and I'm staying here in Serbia until the 13th or 14th."

FURIA is enjoying a small break after qualifying for playoffs against BIG, in the lower bracket final of Group B. Their journey in this ESL Pro League season started with FURIA beating fellow countrymen Imperial but then falling to MOUZ. Once in the lower bracket, the Brazilians beat Movistar Riders and BIG to claim a spot in the last stage of the competition.

After a poor showing from the team in Katowice, arT didn't have the best of starts individually in Malta, but despite some early criticism during ESL Pro League Season 17, the IGL has managed to keep his composure and style while bouncing back in the lower bracket.
