Multiple current and former Cloud9 players said Denis had been very beneficial for them

Cloud9 psychologist parts ways with the organization

The departure of David Denis is yet another change to Cloud9's support staff as they head into 2019.

David Denis, Cloud9's psychologist has announced his departure from the organization after two and a half years of working with the team.

When he joined Cloud9 back in July of 2016, Cloud9 was one of the first organizations to hire a sports psychologist in order to improve players' mental health inside and outside the game.

Following his departure, numerous current and former Cloud9 players took to Twitter to say goodbye and thank Denis for his work with the organization. Additionally, Martin "STYKO" Styk, fomer Cloud9 player, said in a recent episode of HLTV Confirmed that the experience of working with a sports psychologist was beneficial and is something that he greatly appreciated during his tenure with Cloud9.

The departure of the team's psychologist is yet another change to Cloud9's back office which has seen many departures over the course of the last four months. Most notably during this period, the team's long time General Manager Danan Flander also parted ways with the organization to link up with LCS franchise Golden Gaurdians.

It is unknown at this time if Cloud9 plan on hiring a new sports psychologist but Denis' departure is yet another shake-up as the organization prepares for the IEM Katowice Major next month.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Really hope they hire a new one. Mental health is important, don't want it to go boom
