Swole Patrol took the top spot after this week's games

MDL Season 27 Week 6 Recap

Only two more weeks remain in the regular season of MDL.

Week 6 of ESEA MDL has concluded, with each match becoming ever more important for teams wishing to secure a spot in the playoffs, or worse, avoid relegation. Here we break down all the important parts from the week.

The notable match results this week kicked off early, with eRa taking down Torqued 16-8. Moreover, HWML defeated NTC in overtime and Freedom 35 demolished Atmosphere 16-2. NTC had a terrible week, going 1-4 in their matches, but this can still be attributed to the difference in ping, much like NTN.

This week also saw the return of Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, who joined Atmosphere in place of Gabriel "GMAN" Ordaz, although their debut was less than impressive. The players of Iceberg also came public about the Canadian organization failing to pay them, leading to the current 6th place team terminating their contracts. Finally, this evening saw Guillermo "guishorro" Areco exit NTN, marking the third player to leave the team this season.

Looking into the next week, here are four matches to keep an eye on:
