The Canadian/American mash-up will no longer fly the RONIN banner.

RONIN releases CS:GO team

After a series of internal issues, the ESEA Premier team is removed from their organization.

After a series of internal struggles had plagued the ESEA Premier roster for months, RONIN has parted ways with it’s CS:GO roster.

The disconnect between the players and organization spurred from a declining performance of results in leagues over some time, as well as the team's commitment to putting forth the time required as professional players. When organization staff requested the players make a roster change, as the team had become complacent and stagnant, the core of the team wouldn’t budge on splitting up. General manager of RONIN, Justin ‘darkside’ F. had this to say regarding the split:

”Several members of the roster acknowledged these issues; and we ultimately came to them asking for some changes to the roster as we felt a bit of a fresh take was required as the complacency had set in. These changes were unwilling to be met, which ultimately led to us dropping the roster after one of our players refused to play under the precarious circumstances.”

When asked to elaborate on the circumstances in question Justin had this to say:

“People were only putting in time during practice as I mentioned, they were missing qualifiers, and just simply not taking things as seriously as they should have well playing under a salary.”

Team captain Evan ‘emode’ Patrao had this to say with regards to the team's departure from RONIN:

“I’ll just say we had a difference of opinion in regards to the direction of this team and parted ways.”

RONIN asserts they will continue to operate in the CS:GO scene as they are already scouting for full team replacements.

Amidst the strife, REOVA has parted ways with both the organization and the CS:GO team to pursue other opportunities. In his place, Chad ‘oderus’ Miller has rejoined the ex-RONIN core. Patrao stated the team is open to looking for a new organization to represent but didn’t comment on if they are actively pursuing any as of yet.

The ex-RONIN team has re-branded themselves as Rudy’s Players Club, in reference to former teammate Rudy “cheK” Svrcek, and their roster is as follows:

  • Canada Dallas 'Dallas' Micks
  • United States Bryan 'Makka' Drouillard
  • Canada Evan 'emode' Patrao
  • United States Jacob 'kaboose' McDonald
  • United States Chad 'oderus' Miller
