ESL announce IEM Katowice NA Qualifier bracket
With the North American Closed Qualifier for IEM Katowice 2018 taking place tomorrow, ESL have announced the bracket and first round matches for it. The tournament will be a single-elimination bracket filled with best-of-three games and the top two teams will qualify for IEM Katowice 2018.
Six of the teams received invites to the close qualifier, these being Liquid, 100Thieves, NRG, Luminosity and Misfits. The final two teams were decided by two open qualifiers, these being Splyce and compLexity.
There's uncertainty surrounding the spots held by Misfits and 100 Thieves, after the two sides have seen roster instability recently. Whether or not these issues will be sorted in time for the qualifier, whether that's for confirming new members of a lineup or sourcing stand-ins, is unknown.
Kicking off at 12pm ET, the first round matches are:
