Rogue organization acquired by ReKTGlobal

The new investment in the organization will hopefully keep their CS:GO team from facing relegation again next season.

Hot on the tail of re-qualifying for ESL Pro League, the Rogue organization has more good news to share, as the organization today announced their acquisition by "esports infrastructure" company ReKTGlobal.

Rogue had previously made waves when famous DJ Steve Aoki came aboard as a co-owner. Now, another high-profile name is involved in the company in the form of Amish Shah, who is both the founder of ReKTGlobal and SierraMaya360, which is a venture capital firm based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Shah had the following to say about the acquisition:

The combination of Rogue and ReKTGlobal is unstoppable. We have all the right elements to dominate the industry: a champion esports team, a passionate fan base, exciting and genuine content, events and activations, deep roots in both esports and traditional sports, connections to the right sponsors and partners, and the best management in the industry

Of most immediate impact to the Rogue CS:GO team will be the fact that "ReKTGlobal aims to upgrade current teams with top players" — something which certainly will come in handy as the Pro League side currently find themselves two members short after the departure of Josh "shinobi" Abastado.
