Always present, biguzera is leading paiN from the front

biguzera: "We have to face the challenges and the mistakes"

Those last rounds yesterday took some life away from everyone.

After a long and grueling 2-1 win against TheMongolz, paiN stayed alive in Copenhagen. Despite a false start on the Elimination Stage, paiN bounced back, ending TheMongolz's BO3 series win streak and surviving another day in Denmark.

The team's IGL, Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt talked with Dust2.us' Ryan Friend about the series, the mistakes in the late rounds of the last map and more.

You have got to be feeling tired. A triple OT, a full three-mapper, just tell me how you have been feeling right after the win.

I have to be honest, my head, my mind is blowing right now, but I'm very happy that we made it and that's it. I'm so so so so so so tired right now.

Three maps is a lot against TheMongolz who have historically had a good record against the Brazilians. How does it feel at a Major to get your first win against a Mongolian team in quite some time?

They have a singular style of play and it's difficult to play against them. They are so confident, I think they have insane aim and for me, it's so difficult to play against them, I never can read them. It's strange, I don't know.

In that game it was very back and forth the whole time. What were you trying to pick up?

I don't know, we were trying to do a lot of things but nothing was working against them and at some moment of the game I was just saying "Guys, let's go B", it was the only thing we could get past the first line and it was difficult to play on A site and get some entries. We just were "Let's go B, let's go B" and I was playing like a dog there.

There were a couple of moments at the end of the regulation. How do you pick up the team? How do you keep the spirits high and make sure nobody gets too down on themselves?

It was two winnable rounds, when we lost both, I felt like the guys were sad. I told them it was a normal round, we can lose or we can win. They did the same in some rounds, but not like that one. We have to face the challenges and the mistakes, we just get our heads up "Let's go."
