FURIA eliminated 0-3 from Copenhagen's Elimination Stage
FURIA just never seemed to find their groove here in Copenhagen. The squad struggled to find consistency in their games as they went down immediately 0-2 at the beginning of the Major, to start climbing back and eventually qualified for the next stage. Unfortunately, they would replicate that 0-2 start and were sent all the way home instead of coming back.
Overpass was an exceptionally tough match for FURIA, despite it being their own map pick. The Brazilians struggled to get their momentum going on the T-side as they only found three rounds in total.
It didn't get significantly better for them on the CT-side as the Danes eventually overwhelmed FURIA enough to steal Overpass away 13-7.
Inferno started out much with FURIA rolling to a 4-0 lead, only to see that slip away as ECSTATIC tied it all up at 5-5. Despite FURIA taking the 7-5 lead into the next half, it wasn't look good for Brazil.
FURIA struggled on their T-side once more, failing to build their economy. However, the team were able to reverse a 10-7 deficit and eventually took a nailbiting 12-11 lead. With the Brazilians facing the finish line, they faltered and fell into overtime. Eventually, thanks to a miraculous 2v4 clutch, FURIA closed out Inferno and sent the match to Ancient.
FURIA looked much more comfortable and at ease on Ancient as they pulled ahead to capture a 7-5 T-side lead. The CT-side did not get off to the best start and it would only get worse as the squad could not muster a single round of defense as they lose Ancient 13-7 and the series 2-1.
FURIA have now been eliminated 0-3 from the Elimination Stage.
