Join the Republic: Community Challenge set to start

ASUS ROG has unveiled Pansy, Pala, SPUNJ, and HenryG as the talent for the annual Community Challenge.

ASUS ROG has announced the roster of talent that will be working during the Join The Republic: Community Challenge taking place January 4-7 in Stockholm, Sweden:

Host – Pala “Mantrousse” Gilroy Sen
Analyst – Alex “Machine” Richardson
Caster – Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill
Caster – Henry “HenryG” Greer

Returning to the event are Pala, and SPUNJ with HenryG being the new addition to the team. Unlike last year, SPUNJ will not be captaining a team but rather fully dedicating himself to continue to build on his career as a caster. Lauren "Pansy" Scott was initially meant to be part of the team, but has been replaced by Alex "Machine" Richardson at the last minute.

The Join the Republic: Community Challenge event is a culmination of events held by ASUS ROG in regions all over the world to assemble amateur players to eventually compete in the Global Finals. The teams will consist of four amateur players and one professional who will lead them as captain. ROG's Community Challenege is an annual event that allows amateur players to be able to experience the life of a professional gamer.

Representing the United States will be:

  • United States Erik "fl0m" Flom
  • United States Bryan "ike" Chyczewski
  • United States Ian "tex" Botsch
  • United States Shane "vanity" Malaspina Jr.
  • United States Andrew "KEETcho" Quicho

Other notable professionals leading teams are Jacob "Pimp" Rasmussen for Denmark and Adam "Friberg" Friberg for Sweden.
