SoaR are on their way to the grand final.

SoaR beat ex-Naventic in Dust2.us Masters semifinal

The team led by mCe made their way to the Grand Final of our first tournament.

The first semifinal of the first Dust2.us Masters between ex-Naventic and SoaR was set to be decided on Cobblestone, Inferno, and Train. ex-Naventic's pick of Cobblestone kicked off with a quadruple kill by Tyson "TenZ" Ngo on the T side. Ryan "Snakes" Amann immediately answered back in the second round with a CZ-75 and a Galil, putting SoaR in a good position.

In round four, Jake "kaboose" McDonald secured three frags to allow ex-Naventic back into the half. Alex "aproto" Protopapas and Daniel "impsta" Whaley then helped to convert that round into two more. Jack "xCeeD" Holiman led SoaR to a third round, but his team was reset the following round, despite xCeeD's efforts.

ex-Naventic held control of the rest of the half, with TenZ securing another triple on the way. Thus the scoreline at the end of the first half was 10-5 for ex-Naventic.

SoaR began their comeback campaign with a big pistol round by xCeeD. They completed the 3-0 start by way of a quadruple molotov kill by Matthew "mCe" Elmore and were on their way to tying the game. SoaR ends up taking the lead on their T side and in round 22, Snakes picked up a huge clutch to keep his team in control.

ex-Naventic fought back by stringing together three rounds in a row to bring the score back to 13-14, but a big 4K by Michael "Grim" Wince put SoaR onto map point. The final round went the distance, but xCeeD once again stepped up big as he picked up four frags and a 1-on-3 clutch to win SoaR Cobblestone 16-14.

ex-Naventic won the first round of Inferno much like the previous map, and got off to the normal 3-0 lead. Snakes, Grim, and xCeeD each pitch in to even the score and take the lead from the ex-Naventic side, getting some good momentum. ex-Naventic starts to fight back despite big plays from mCe and Snakes, and took the lead from the T side.

Logan "Voltage" Long kept the score close though and the half ended with a 4K by Grim for an 7-8 score.

aproto and TenZ led ex-Naventic to extend their lead early in the second half. SoaR could only manage a single round on their T side as Giovanni "Fighter" Leo powered ex-Naventic to map point. xCeeD carried over his from from Cobblestone and helped SoaR to bring it back to the 30th round, but ex-Naventic closed it out in the final round to take Inferno 16-14.

The third map, Train, started off with a quick lead by SoaR. Led by Grim and Voltage, this lead grew very large, as ex-Naventic were only able to pick up a single round in the first eleven. Snakes and xCeeD also chimed in as the half came to a close, and ex-Naventic could only gather two rounds to SoaR's thirteen by the time of the side switch.

ex-Naventic collected the pistol round and the following one, but mCe carried his team over the line for SoaR to take Train 16-4 and the series 2-1.
