SPELLAN and SKADE have had their visa applications rejected

SKADE denied visas for FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier

Things do not look good for the upstart Bulgarian squad.

SKADE's Denislav "dennyslaw" Dimitrov has announced that the team's visa applications for the upcoming FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier have been denied.

The main issue seems to have been that the team applied for B-1 visas, which are intended for "temporary business visitors", instead of P-1 visas, which are for athletes.

dennyslaw went on to say that with the FLASHPOINT Europe Closed Qualifier concluding on February 17th, the team did not believe they had time to apply for and receive P-1 visas.

Should the Bulgarian team not be able to pull a proverbial rabbit from a hat, the next two European teams in line would be the CIS duo of Spirit and Gambit Youngsters.

However, with the event set to commence on March 3rd, the reality may simply be that the spot would go to whichever team is able to attend — possibly even eUnited, who placed third in the North America Closed Qualifier.
