ARES will be looking to bolster the female CS:GO scene with their new circuit.

ARES announce new Female Circuit

The French-based organisation has announced a set of regular events for the female CS:GO scene.

ARES, the more commonly known acronym for the Alpha Republic of Esport, have announced the launch of a Female CS:GO circuit of events. Entitled the "Counter-Strike Women's Tournament", it will be launching in the first quarter of 2018.

The circuit itself is still yet to be fully announced, but will feature 16 teams competing in four events, each with a $8,000 prize pot. Each tournament will count towards a ranking, and the top eight teams by the end of the circuit will qualify for the Grand Final in Qatar, where another $20,000 will be up for grabs. At least one of the four events are expected to be held in North America, due to the presence of teams such as Dignitas, CLG Red, silhouette, and Team X.

ARES is a French-based esports organisation that's been in operation since April 2017, who recently signed the Russian former London Conspiracy female team, who came second in the ESU Masters event and at Copenhagen Games. The organisation is backed by stars of international soccer, ranging from Bayern Munich's James Rodriguez to former Chelsea striker Demba Ba.

More information on the tournament structure will be announced in "early 2018".

This'll be a good addition to what is an exciting scene, and one that could potentially expand out of it's current boundaries.

Also Demba Ba lads.
