Thunder Logic through to Advanced upper bracket final
The next wave of Advanced playoff matches has concluded, with no huge upsets anywhere to be found. Despite three out of five matches finishing with the lower seed on top, in all three cases, the seed differential was only one.
In the upper bracket, Thunder Logic were the first team to book their spot in MDL Relegation as they took down iNTACT in a three-map thriller. After losing Mirage in a single overtime, Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel's side came back before a nailbiting finish on Nuke saw the Thunder Logic winning out after all 30 rounds, leaving them just two series' away from skipping MDL relegation entirely.
In the lower bracket, Gorilla Gang survived a number of close scares as they took all thirty rounds to beat Drawn to Fulfillment, fresh from an upset win over Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien's absolute mad lads, on both Nuke and Mirage. Jared "MAC-1" Schneider's side now move on to face Oceanus, who reached the third round of the lower bracket with a 2-0 win over timbermen. Gorilla Gang will continue to field Eric "Ryze" Brown, who is temporarily filling the vacant spot in the team left by Nathan "leaf" Orf.
Elsewhere, Precision and Brazen both saw their playoff runs come to an end after falling to ETHEREAL and Rebirth, respectively.
