desi announces return to competitive play

The American player seeks to get back into top play after a short break from competition.

Derek "desi" Branchen, formerly of compLexity, has announced on Twitter that he is making a comeback to the professional scene. After being removed from the compLexity lineup in favor of AWPer Peter "ptr" Gurney, desi found himself without a team for the next three months. desi is one of the more experienced players in the North American scene, playing on teams like Manajuma, iBUYPOWER, and eLevate.

Despite some ambiguity of the tweet, Dust2.us reached out to desi and confirmed that he intends to return to competition.

He attended one Major, DreamHack Winter 2014, with iBUYPOWER where his team defeated a Copenhagen Wolves featuring Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye, but fell to Dignitas and PENTA. desi also attended DreamHack Masters Las Vegas with compLexity where the squad lost two consecutive games to Astralis and North.
