Emy and ShahZaM win Twitch Rivals Showdown #3
In Twitch's third Rivals Wingman Showdown event, Emma "Emy" Choe & Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan emerged victorious, topping Group A with 11 points and defeating Diane "di^" Tran & James "hazed" Cobb in the final.
The North American version of the event featured twelve duos, mainly consisting of male-female mixes. The teams were split into two groups of six and played round robin best-of-twos. Each map win awarded $200 while each map loss awarded $50. The team in each group who got the most kills also won a $500 bonus. The top team from each group then played in a best-of-three final, with the winner taking $3,000 and the loser taking $1,000.
As mentioned above, the two group winners were Emy & ShahZaM and di^ & hazed, taking 11 and 9 points respectively after the round robin. Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido & David "Xp3" Garrido and Benita "bENITA" Novshadian & Erik "fl0m" Flom placed second in their respective groups, each taking eight points. The team with the most frags in Group A was the winners Emy & ShahZaM, while bENITA and fl0m had the most kills from Group B, edging out di^ & hazed.
