Eight teams clinch spots in Intermediate for Season 31
The third and final ESEA higher qualification cup has concluded, with eight teams earning spots in Intermediate for Season 31.
Following four rounds of play, 16 teams advanced into the fifth and final round to determine which eight teams would make it through the qualifier. Round five started off with a surprise as after JMC123 bested EX CrysixEsports 16-11 on Train, EX CrysixEsports forfeited the remainder the series, allowing JMC123 an easier path to Intermediate. After this, Get Bent, hihihih, Runnin on Empty, and Vendetta all earned their spots besting their opponents in full best-of-three series.
After this, the forfeits continued to roll in as Never Started, Xplicit, and r0b and the pl0bs all received default wins, as their opponents forfeited the series.
The eight teams who earned promotion to Intermediate are as follows:
