rain and CAth led the way for Dignitas

Dignitas and CLG Red still perfect in Copenhagen; Singularity eliminated

North America's last hope in Denmark lies with the two female sides.

Copenhagen Games marches on, as do the ladies of Dignitas and CLG Red, who both have cruised their way to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately for Singularity, their tournament lives have come to an end.

Before reaching the playoffs, both teams topped their groups with perfect 5-0 records, seeming themselves through to the latter stage of the tournament.

In their match against eParadise, Dignitas were easily superior to their European counterparts, taking quick victories on Mirage and Overpass. The Canadian duo of Catherine "CAth" Leroux and Amanda "rain" Smith did much of the heavy lifting for the team, with both dropping forty kills across the series. Next up for the team will be the Russian side of Monolith.

CLG Red found themselves drawn against Singularity's female roster, and were able to make short work of them on Mirage and Train. To their credit, the majority Scandinavian team was able to put up double-digits against the defending WESG champions. Not to be outdone by their regional rivals, former Dignitas member Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie and long-time member Benita "bENITA" Novshadian also had forty-bombs in the series. CLG Red will next face PENSIONERS+2.

Former CLG Red member Klaudia "klaudia" Beczkiewicz and her Assassins squad also remain alive in the tournament, with their next match set to come against plan-B fe.

As for Singularity, the MDL squad were cast down to the B tournament after losing to Söderberg & Partners (ex-Fragsters) yesterday. The team's journey began against the Norwegians of Bitfix, where they took a convincing 16-6 win on Overpass. Next they faced another Norwegian team in the form of Apeks, with the series going the way of Pål "Polly" Kammen's squad in 2-1 fashion (Nuke 16-14, Mirage 9-16, Dust2 22-20).

With their backs against the wall in the lower bracket, Singularity found themselves against Danish squad dopexx. Another close series saw the Americans emerge victorious 2-1 (Inferno 16-11, Overpass 10-16, Nuke 16-8).

The victory saw Singularity through to the B tournament playoffs, where they were drawn against STEPxHYDR in the Round of 16. The Danish side, led by former Singularity member Peter "Inzta" Kragelund, proved to be too much for the Americans, defeating them 2-0 (Nuke 16-9, 16-14).

Next up for Singularity and new in-game leader Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman will be ECS Season 7 Week 3, where they are set to take on Luminosity in what may be considered a grudge match, considering the Brazilian's invite to ESL Pro League Season 9 over the American squad.
