ESEA MDL playoff teams almost solidified
Although the ESEA MDL Season 26 regular season will be finishing tonight, the teams who will be vying for spots in ESL Pro League are already known.
Headlining the list are Gale Force, and ESEA MDL Global Challenge participants FRENCH CANADIANS and Rise Nation. Also present are young upstarts SoaR, stream team Mythic, the newly christened Ghost Academy, and the recently modified Beacon side.
Notably absent are Naventic, who made playoffs last season but finished 8-8 this time around, as well as Josh "steel" Nissan's Torqued, who also finished up with a .500 record.
The eight teams who will be participating in the ESEA MDL S26 playoffs are as follows:

There technically exists a small chance of a tie-breaker match needing to be played between GX and subtLe to determine the final team. However, all GX need to do to avoid this fate is to win a single round in their match against ex-Morior Invictus.
Three more matches tonight will close out the season, including one between Rise Nation and Mythic, who will be jockeying for playoff seeding.
The ultimate winner of the league will be automatically promoted to ESL Pro League Season 7, where they will take the place of the automatically demoted Ghost. The second and third placing teams will play relegation matches against Rogue and Immortals, respectively.
