The Mad Lads & Glockoma shoot up the lower bracket of Gfinity Spring Series
The Gfinity Spring Series lower bracket commenced over the past few days, and the first round completed last night with Stormborns receiving a forfeit win over Broken Alliance.
The first round of the lower bracket actually saw two forfeit wins given. The first due to Zclan facing a disqualification after cheating against Fam143. Zclan's disqualification meant EGO received a first round bye, matching them up against Infamous in round two.
Despite all the forfeits, two matches managed to be played out during the first round starting with Dignitas fe taking on Glockoma. The ladies started slow on Glockoma's map pick Mirage as the team was unable to get any string of important rounds together, taking a 16-6 loss.
Fortunately for Dignitas fe, Catherine "CAth" Leroux played exceptionally well when the map switched to their pick Train. Her 32 frags and mulitple clutch moments brought the team across the finish line 16-10.
CAth's dominance would continue onto Overpass as she pressured the boys, but ake "Dolzy" Amendola was able to keep pace with her. CAth didn't receive the level of fragging support that Dolzy did, and the map concluded 16-9, ending the Dignitas ladies Gfinity journey short.

Loic "effys" Sauvageau and Victor "cardiac" Kwan may not be able to play ESEA, but they put on a clinic against 13th Hour in CEVO servers.
The Mad Lads map pick Cache would go off without a hitch after winning their pistol round in the first half, and despite not winning the second half pistol, they pulled out an eco that would get them four more rounds closer to winning. One quick round loss, two subsequent rounds after, and Cache was wrapped up 16-7.
Choosing Mirage did no favors for 13th Hour as the map went even more poorly than the previous. This time around The Mad Lads wouldn't let their pistols slip up again, taking both in the game and despite multiple clutch heroics from 13th Hour, it was a 16-6 decimation that couldn't be turned around.
