Cloud9 were taken to their limit by ORDER in their three map series.

IEM Sydney: Cloud9 ORDER(ed) to playoffs; NRG give B.O.O.T-d[S] the boot in day two

North America lives to fight another day in Sydney after Cloud9 secure their playoff spot over ORDER and NRG clean-up B.O.O.T-d[S] 2-0 in their Lower Bracket matches.

Day two of IEM Sydney has wrapped up, and saw Cloud9 clinching out a tight 2-1 series against ORDER to secure their spot in the playoffs, and NRG making quick work of B.O.O.T-d[S] in the Lower Bracket of Group B to keep their tournament lives intact.

Cloud9 met ORDER in the Lower Bracket of Group A, after being upset by TyLoo yesterday in their second round of match of the Upper Bracket. While Cloud9 managed to secure their map choice of Cache with relative ease 16-7, ORDER made an equally bold statement as they decisively took their pick of Train 16-4 over the North Americans.

It all came down to the third map of Inferno, a map that went the distance and beyond, ending in double overtime 22-19 for Cloud9.

The star of the day for Cloud9 was unquestionably Will "RUSH" Wierzba, as he racked up six 3-4 kill rounds, three of which occured in the last map alone, and one securing them map point in the second overtime.

The series betwen NRG and B.O.O.T-d[S] was short-lived and only spanned two short maps. Despite it being their pick and beginning on the favored CT-side, the Singaporeans fell flat on Cache, being dispatched of with only five rounds to their name by the end of it.

B.O.O.T-d[S]'s IEM Sydney run came to an end on Inferno shortly after, as they failed to piece together anything in either half of the game that could curtail the aggression of NRG, leading to their 0-2 demise.

Later, Cloud9 have a date with their frequent dance partners in FaZe, as both teams will look to claw their way out of Group A.

NRG constantly surprises me. A lot of this team were scraps left behind from other major NA orgs. I hope they keep on grinding.
