DreamHack is set to return to Austin

DreamHack Open Austin qualifier signups open

There's two days left for teams to signup if they hope to make their way to Austin.

The details for the open qualifier for DreamHack Open's Austin stop is live on ESEA's website, with a mere two days remaining until the matches kick off.

In a similar fashion to previous qualifiers, four teams will advance to the closed portion of the qualifier, where they will meet four invited teams to decide which squad will make their way to Austin.

The open qualifier is set to begin on April 13th, with four teams advancing the following day to play the closed qualifier on April 15th. Signups are open on ESEA's website until 8 PM EST on the 13th, so teams looking to face off against notable MDL squads such as eUnited, Swole Patrol, and Torqued are still able to register.

Some other notable teams that are joining those above include the newly formed Etherian lineup, Mythic, and compLexity, who will all duke it out over three days for a single spot at Austin.

Cloud9 made an appearance at Austin last year, where they fell to G2 in the group stage. Invites for this year are currently unknown, but it's likely that one of the fan favorite North American organizations will make an appearance once again.
