ESEA announces Qualifier Cups for Season 32

Teams will be looking to find their place in a higher league ahead of Season 32.

With Season 32 commencing at the end of August, it's time for another round of fast-track qualifiers. Introduced before the start of Season 29, the pre-season qualification cups allow teams a chance to skip over leagues through a bracketed tournament. Qualifiers are held for every division aside from MDL and Pro League, and take place over the course of two days.

One of the teams to watch for this event will be Stay Frosty. After their formation in July, the still unfinalized roster of previous MDL and Advanced players has been tearing up online tournaments. They took home first place in the second ESEA Proving Grounds Open Qualifier, and were one of three teams to qualify for Mythic Cup 4 this weekend. The roster currently holds no league spot, so they will likely be gunning for one of the two coveted Advanced openings up for grabs.

The dates for the tournaments are as follows:

  • Intermediate: August 28th, 29th; top eight teams qualify
  • Main:  August: 27th, 28th; top four teams qualify
  • Advanced: August 29th, 30th; final two teams qualify

Deadlines for registration are an hour before matches begin on the day of their respective tournament. Full instructions on how to qualify and sign up, along with player restrictions, can be found on ESEA's website.
