RUNnGUN, Stay Frosty, and HAAHAHAH qualify to Mythic Cup 4
The open qualifier for Mythic Cup 4 has completed and RUNnGUN, Stay Frosty, and HAAHAHAH have qualified for the $2,500 tournament taking place later today.
The first semi-final pitted a RUNnGUN lineup featuring Gabriel "tENSKI" Rodrigue and "YuZless" against Michael "agM" Abood's Stay Frosty. The veto took the match to Nuke where RUNnGUN decimated Stay Frosty, going up 11-4 after the first half and winning the first five rounds of the second half to close the game out 16-4.
On the bottom half of the bracket, HAAHAHAH, a mix team consisting of Alex "vek" Voynov, Stephen "Huston" Huston, and Alex "Obs1dian" Conrad from Imperial, fought against Daniel "roca" Gustaferri's 91-1. 91-1 took a 9-6 lead on Mirage, but were not able to close the game out in the second half, falling 14-16 to HAAHAHAH.
But there was still one more game to be played. With New Identity having to pull out of the event, Mythic announced that they would be giving their spot to the third placed team from the open qualifiers. Stay Frosty and 91-1 fought for third place on Overpass where agM's team were able to close out the match 16-13 and claim the final spot.
