Dignitas fe eliminate Violent Roses in DreamHack Showdown Winter consolidation final

EMUHLEET & friends got revenge for their opening round loss when it mattered most.

The penultimate day of DreamHack Showdown Winter has concluded and Dignitas fe have eliminated Violent Roses from the event with a 2-0 series victory. As a result, we will now get to enjoy the latest chapter of the domestic rivalry between CLG Red and Dignitas fe in the grand final.

Dignitas fe came flying out of the gates, seemingly eager to prove that the upset that transpired during the first meeting between these two sides was a fluke. It certainly felt that way from the onset of the series as Violent Roses found themselves down 12-3 at halftime on Dust2. To their credit, Violent Roses bounced back and showed some signs of life by winning the second half pistol and the subsequent anti-eco, but Dignitas fe rattled off three rounds in a row to make the score 15-5 as soon as they were able to afford a full buy.

Violent Roses managed to deny Dignitas fe's first two match points in spite of their opposition's full arsenal of weapons and utility, but crumbled when facing an eco round from the more experienced side in round 23. Juliana "showliana" Maransaldi led the victors with 23 frags, while Violent Roses' top producer was Daphnee-Anne "RuNe" Grignon with  19 eliminations.

Dignitas fe secured a more modest 9-6 advantage on their T-side of Nuke, but turned things up a notch in the second half. Violent Roses were able to win the second half pistol and following bonus round once again, bringing the scoreline to 9-8, but that was the closest they came to taking Dignitas fe to a third map. Dignitas fe won seven of the last eight rounds to win the series and secure a grand final berth.

RuNe top-fragged for Violent Roses once again and this time she was joined by Charissa "Senna" Hoang at the top of the leaderboard. Rhe duo each finished with 20 frags in the losing effort. Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido led the server with 23 kills for Dignitas fe.
