GGPR moves onto ESEA Advanced finals following Rise forfeit

Rise forfeited after consti's internet went out and there was no option to reschedule.

GGPR have claimed a spot in the ESEA Advanced Season 35 finals following an unfortunate forfeit from Rise after Kevin "consti" Yi's internet went out ahead of their match last night.

In classic NA fashion, Rise's forfeit caused a bit of a stir as GGPR were called out for being unwilling to work to find  suitable time to play the match.

GGPR's coach ninja denied these claims, messaging members of the community on Steam that his team tried to reschedule, but Chase "lowrider" Releford ultimately made the call not to as Victor "v1c" T. has to get up early for school and it was unfair to keep him up all night waiting for consti's internet to come back.

However, Dust2.us been informed that Rise took the forfeit as they did not want to play 4v5 and did not ask for a reschedule as the match could only be played today and members of the team were unavailable.

This fact puts a glaring hole in ninja's narrative, as GGPR were never asked to consider a reschedule. Furthermore, a member of GGPR further contested ninja's story, saying that the messages he sent out were not reflective of reality, and lowrider never made a decision or was ever in a position to do so.

The remaining matches in the ESEA Advanced Season 35 playoffs are:

5th Place Decider
United States SKDC  vs.  United States ex-Thunder Logic 12/2 @ 9 PM EST
Grand Finals
Brazil Yeah  vs. United States GGPR 12/3 @ 9:30 PM EST

Although Rise have dropped out of playoffs, they have still netted themselves a spot in ESEA MDL Season 35 Relegation, which is set to begin on December 7th.
