Registration for NCS Minor Boston goes live

Signups for the first National Championship Series Minor of the year have been opened up.

Underwatch have opened up registration for the first National Championship Series Minor of the year, taking place in Boston, Massachusetts at the Balance Patch Video Game Cafe on January 18th.

The one-day event will offer a prize pool of $1,500 as well as 150 points on the NCS leaderboard, which will contribute towards earning invites and travel support for the NCS Grand Finals in Arlington, Texas later in the year. The prize pool is based on eight teams attending the event, with the tournament utilizing a single-elimination best-of-three bracket to determine the champion.

Currently, one team is pending registration under the name "Lavender", while signup slots remain open for interested parties at an entry fee of $50 per player up to a maximum of twelve teams. Underwatch have also created a form for players who are looking for a team for the event, although little time remains to register as signups are set to close on January 11th.
