BLAST announce opening matchups for Americas RMR

Let the antistratting commence.

With the Paris Major fast approaching, BLAST has announced the opening games as well as the layout for the Americas RMR. Alongside the opening matchups, BLAST also released the layout of the qualifier. As there are only five spots available for teams from the Americas, teams that lose their opening BO1s will be staring down the barrel of elimination immediately as the 0-1 games will be BO3 elimination games.

For FURIA, it will be one of three all-Brazilian affairs, as they take on Pedro "Maluk3" Campos' LOS+oNe, while paiN will match up against Paqueta and MIBR will face Flamengo. Liquid will have a difficult opening match, facing off against a red-hot 00Nation who will continue to field Leonardo "n9xtz" Santos in place of Epitácio "TACO" de Melo.

Nouns will square off against Argentinian team BESTIA, while Detonate will be hoping for a major upset against the legendary Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's Imperial. Rounding it out, Complexity and yur will both have Brazilian opponents in the form of Fuscão 1500 and Fluxo respectively.

Complexity will be looking to avenge the last RMR as they started out 2-0, but fell to 3-2 and were eliminated by Imperial for the final spot. This edition of the RMR is significantly more challenging as the Americas lost a Major place last year, leaving the region with one less guaranteed place.

Taking place in Monterrey, Mexico, the Americas RMR is scheduled to kick off on April 6th.

Brazil FURIA vs. LOS+oNe Brazil

Brazil Fluxo vs. yur United States

United States Liquid vs. 00 Nation Brazil
United States Complexity vs. Fuscão 1500 Brazil

I am begging Nouns and CoL to make it this time. I'd love to see Yur somehow sneak through too, but I feel like 4 NA teams is too wishful. Need to focus down on the big guns instead. I am moreso begging whatever teams do make it to the major to do well enough that next time we get more slots.

Yeah, no matter which 5 teams make it, we need them to do well.
