Saints affected by visa issues for Katowice

The team will lose a bit of chemistry going into ESL Impact Katowice.

Earlier today, Saints announced via Twitter that Iuliia "sckrafft" Gerasimova won't be flying to Katowice due to visa issues.

This left the team without one rifler, but the squad swiftly managed to grab Kaia "KiKi" Holmen to sub in for sckrafft during the team's tenure in Poland.

Saints qualified for ESL Impact Katowice after winning the second open qualifier and the following closed qualifier, but it seems some of the momentum the team has been gathering is lost, as losing one piece before the biggest event these players ever attended can prove to be a tough situation.

All is not lost, though. KiKi, a 22-year-old from Norway, is coming to replace sckrafft. KiKi is part of the GUCCI Gaming Academy and has been looking for a team since September 2022, and also boasts a level 10 on FACEIT. It is still unknown if the player will adapt quickly to Saints' game plan or if the team's strategy will be simplified to help the Norweigan mix with the rest of the squad.

Saints' roster for ESL Impact Katowice will be:

  • United States Anna "buhnny" Cheung

  • Canada Jessica "JKranny" Kranabetter

  • Olga "olya" Kryvulych

  • United States Paula "paula" Ramanauskas

  • Kaia "KiKi" Holmen (stand-in)

ESL Impact Katowice starts on February 10th and all the way through February 12th. Alongside Saints, North America will have CLG Red as representatives of the region.
