RMR qualifiers dates revealed

The Paris Major is right around the corner.

BLAST has announced the dates for the open and closed qualifiers to the RMRs for the BLAST.tv Paris Major. The open qualifiers for the North and South American regions will start on February 21st and conclude on the following day, while the closed qualifiers will take place from February 23rd until the 26th.

The qualifiers have been split in two, with the top eight teams from each region advancing to the closed qualifier, and the rest of the teams having to fight before, in the open qualifier. The teams selected to advance straight to the closed tournament will be defined taking into account the Valve regional rankings from February 12th.

From the open qualifiers, the eight NA teams that advance through the open qualifiers will join the top eight from NA rankings in the closed qualifier, and from those, only seven will go to Monterrey for the Americas RMR. There they will be joined by seven SA teams and will battle for 4 Challengers spots and only 1 Legends spot in Paris.

FURIA and Liquid will be the only teams going straight to the Americas RMR and so, the two will not be taken into account in the Valve rankings when selecting the top eight teams from NA and SA.

The RMR qualifiers will be played online on Gamers Club's servers in both regions. The company was founded in 2015 and has since been the main platform in South American Counter-Strike hosting tournaments and leagues.

Those looking the sign-up early won't be able to do so, because sign-ups are still closed. However, more details can be found on the BLAST website.
