Will steel and co. be able to topple NRG and Na`VI?

DreamHack Masters Stockholm groups drawn

Two North American teams, one group. Who will survive?

DreamHack has announced the groups for its upcoming Masters installment in Stockholm, which will boast a $250,000 prize pool.

The most interesting group of the event will likely be Group B, which contains the two North American teams that are attending the event.

While NRG have been heavy favorites in recent tournaments and even received an invite to this event, the two other European teams in the group are strong contenders. Na`Vi has been one of the fiercest teams in recent events, taking events such as Cologne by storm. As well as Na`Vi, NiP also stand as one of NRG's toughest opponents in the group, coming off a victory in the Europe Minor in London.

The wildcard of the group is Ghost, who are currently trialing Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend on loan from Imperial. While the German is new to the team, his first offline event with the team won't be in Stockholm, as the team are set to appear at the ZOTAC Cup Masters Grand Finals in Hong Kong, which will play out just a few days before the Swedish event.

The groups for DreamHack Masters Stockholm are:

Group A Group B Group C Group D
Denmark Astralis Natus Vincere FaZe mousesports
Denmark North United States NRG Sweden Fnatic Brazil MIBR
TyLoo Sweden NiP Denmark OpTic World HellRaisers
Australia Grayhound Canada Ghost Denmark Heroic Gambit

DreamHack Masters Stockholm is set to kick off on August 29th at the tail end of the player break, and end on September 3rd. The event will be the last major tournament before the FACEIT Major begins just two days later on September 5th.
